PROGRAM GOALS: 
Offer teachers and teacher assistants an opportunity to be intentional about how their thinking and practices influence diverse children and their families. 
Work with teachers and support them to change their thinking and implement best practices and strategies that impact children’s cultural identities, the preservation of their home languages, as well as academic success. 
Model best practices through simulations and literacy moments. 
Observe the teachers’ changes in thinking and the strategies being adopted. 
Support teachers in becoming culturally conscious and responsive to diverse children as well as changes in their thinking.
