Dr Turner is the Education Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Essex County College where she teaches all of the Education courses, Early Childhood Education, Children with Special Needs, Introduction to Education, Education in Urban Environment. In addition to the above courses, Dr Turner also teaches the Child Development Associate (CDA) courses, which prepare students for the CDA assessment.

Creating Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Practices
Scope of Services: co-facilitate virtual and in-person professional development sessions with Trenton and Rahway School Districts. Scope of work includes co-facilitation of professional development sessions with teachers and school leaders as well as group coaching with assigned teachers. School walk-through will also be scheduled with school leaders. In addition, mentors' meetings will be scheduled quarterly to assure the implementation of the data collection process.

MISSION: The New Jersey Cultural Competency and English Language Learners (ELL) Institute and Mentoring Program of the John S. Watson Institute for Public Policy at Thomas Edison State University offer teachers an introspective opportunity to be intentional about how their thinking and practices influence diverse children and their families. Cultural coaches partner with the teachers to assist them to change their thinking and implement best practices and strategies that impact children’s cultural identities, the preservation of their home languages, as well as academic success.

Dr. Bridget Turner Training Academy
Dr. Bridget Turner offers CDA courses that introduce paraprofessionals in early childhood education to the Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing process and provides comprehensive instruction in early childhood education. All six competency standards and the thirteen functional areas are discussed. In the course, students will begin to develop a professional resource file. Students who enroll in the course must have (within the past five years) at least 480 hours of experience working with children from infancy through five years old in a group setting.
History
Established in 2009.
Started training community based early childhood education center's staff, parent's and administration. Currently training, mentoring, coaching, educating and providing early childhood education services to the same population as above and in addition on college/university campuses educating professionals and paraprofessionals as well as future teachers and teacher assistants on the Child Development Associate Credential and Early Childhood Education.

Appointment of Court Appointed Special Advocate
(CASA)
​
The court appointed BRIDGET TURNER as the Court Appointed Special Advocate(CASA). CASA is a volunteer interested in all legal proceedings concerning children. Her primary responsibility is to advocate for the best interest of the children.
Permission is granted to the appointed CASA to inspect and copy all educational, social service, child care records, medical records, and mental health records relevant to the case, including protected health information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
